Silicoids

It'd be interesting to have a race like the Silicoids from MOO. A Race that can colonize any atmosphere...however, he could only ever do rock & ice planets (ie, planets with solidity...rocks to eat). They would be Xenophobic...couldn't use other races to colonize...to balance them out some. Great miners, poor researchers, slow reproduction and average producers.
