Sound problem

Hi everyone,
I'm setting up a new computer. I have XP pro and 2 gigs of memory. The sound system appears to be set up properly. The windows sounds work, other games sounds work, even the sound effects from SE IV work. But I can't get the CD music to work. Anyone have any ideas on this?

I miss hearing that eerie spaced out music.
