It made a brief appearance in last weeks episode. It's a shame we can't all get this series at the same time so we can talk about it.

True. It would be great to all see the same episode at the same time. And welcome back Klvino.

Thanks, Atrocities. It's good to be back, even if all I'm gonna do is loiter around
Now if only S1st would answer my lost password requests...

!! More spoilers !!!

Zero, RDM has stated in his pod casts and blogs that there are 12 human cylon agents. Infact, by the end of this season, a little over half of those models will be known.

Tigh is a great character imo. He's Adama's Dick Cheney and Ted Kennedy wrapped into one person.

As for Baltar, cylon technology is more organic than mechanical. Six is more or less trying to drive Baltar off the deep end.

Renegade 13 , Something to note is that the original series Adama was split into two roles, Laura Roslin and Bill Adama. But the civies in the fleet do have a degree of control over galactica as several ships has resources galactica needs. Pegasus had a civilian fleet at one point, some 15 ships, look what cain did to them! Plus the pointless politiking of the fleet keeps the civilians busy so the military doesn't have to run the show. I don't find the president annoying at all, infact I'm hoping we see more of the politics in the fleet. Of course, now that the scrolls of pythia have been invalidated....

Atrocities, with the scenes in ressurection ship aside (even RDM disliked those) I think Lee is having a mental breakdown. Severe depression, death wish, distancing himself from everyone. I think we'll start seeing more of this in the fleet's military as the show continues. A similar evolution is happening with starbuck's character, but she's using hard liquor to drown it out. I also think RDM's handling of the character is funny as richard hatch, who originally played apollo, kept pitching that apollo would become the commander of galactica and desired that post. RDM completely reversed that in the character.

As for Cain, I was very surprised at the preformance given. It shows a very different part of the colonial mindset and actually reminded me of captain ahab or even kahn at times. Hats off to Ensign Ro. I did, however, find her death fitting as Karma for her actions and her crew's actions. I'm pissed about how they handled Fisk in the following episodes, however.

Now Baltar is something else, I think the cylons are trying to break him mentally with the constant screwing around six does with his mind. I think it'll also play a big part in the season finale.

I have to say this while it's fresh in my thought's :
They have got to do something now about getting RID of the Pegasus !!! Escpecially now that BOTH her CO and XO/CO are dead. The premise of the series, both old and new, was a single warship desperately protecting and shepherding the remaining masses of the devastated colonies towards a new life at someplace call Earth.

In the older series the Pegasus storyline was both fresh and entertaining. Now, it's the " Elephant in the corner", so to speak. Changes the entire concept. You have a bigger, badder, better Battlestar running as a background piece in the series.

Maybe it's just me, but it doesn't seem to work...

It serves as contrast to the Galactica. You'll notice that we are beginning to get this more complex view of the colonies and cylons as time progresses. Humanity isn't united, it's not getting along, and different crews have different ways of seeing each other.

I do think the Pegasus crew will be less loyal to Adama and the president.

What gets me is the balloning CGI FX's cost of the series almost forced a clip show.

After watching the latest BSG episode, in hit me that doesn't the Cylon fighter " Scar " seem a bit reminiscent of Space: Above & Beyond 's " Chiggy von Richthofen " ???

I was thinkin' the EXACT same thing !!!
It seemed almost.... personal ....between those two, like it.... remembered ....this particular human; it HATED this particular human. All the other pilots were viable enemy targets, but Starbuck was the ultimate goal.

Yah, I get the feeling scar was supposed to be starbucks raider. Why else would they have shown clips from that episode in the "previously on BSG" segment.

As for the whole Chiggy Von Richthofen situation, it is an old theme taken from history, hence the name, being a reference to Mafred von Richthofen, a historicly over emphasized character from WWI. On a side note, if you ever get the chance to read his book I would recommend it, while probably not the best written piece, it really has a feeling of the man behind the myth.

Anyways, yah, common theme, done well in this episode, though, Starbuck was written a little over the top with her alcoholism for my tastes.

It bothers me though that really nobody in the series has refused to crack. Some people in situations like this stick their guns and refuse to even deal with the situation of the disaster and it never really effects them for years, if they ever show it at all outwardly.

How many people can say that their civilization was nearly and completely wiped off the face of the earth?
I'm honestly surprised they aren't falling apart more. Sure, a lot of them have stuck back into the colonial life mentality, but I wonder how many took thier own lives when faced with the reality all their loved ones, friends, and homes are gone for good. How many cracked had to be committed? I guess the closest example might be Native Americans whose culture has been reduced to heavy drinking, casinos, small reservations, and diabetes.
