				 Re: Time to embarrass Geo
Sorry to bump this up, but it's the closest topic I could find and I didn;t want to start another.
Like my little friend to the left, I can't handle this pressure.

Started out I had no rating. Which was fine. Just fine.

Someone rated me a 3. Which was also fine. Fine. Just fine.

Now I'm up to 4. And that's too much. I give too much bad advice for that. This Ratings inflation will cheapen the entire board.

So if you've got the time, and the inclination (you know who you are), please vote me down. Thanks

At least until I make a cool mod or shipset. |

Okay, Baron, how the hell did you get 5 stars... and yes that is a halo sitting over my head. I is innocent!!!
And tbontob, it looks like your are unrateable... not that I would ever stoop to rating an Edmontonian.
And Geo, looks like you've finally got what you deserve!

Yes Kim, I made myself unrateable. I was wondering how long it would take for anyone to notice or even if anyone would notice.Quote:

My reasons are a bit complex, part reaction, part experimentation...so bear with me.

For over 2 months, I had a rating of 5 stars. Not that it meant very much as only one person voted.

Then in the Last week, 2 things changed for me.
 1) I updated my profile interests from "computer games" to...well read my new profile to see...
   2) With PBW down, I started "funning around".

Suddenly in the space of 2 days, I had 2 more votes (a 200% increase which by any standards is significant even if the number of voters is small) and my Ratings went down to 4 stars.

Now, there is not a hell of a lot of difference between 4 stars and 5 stars, but it did get me to wondering who I had offended and why.

Some of the participants at this web-site are strongely anti-business. And there in full view is one of my interests, "business"!

Secondly, did my sense of humor offend anyone? I have been told on occasion that I have a "dry" sense of humor, so sometimes people are not sure whether I am "funning" around or not.

And thirdly, am I giving bad information? I would think not, as my committment to contribute in a meaningful way has not changed. However, this is a possibility and I do not rule it out.

If I have offended anyone, I would prefer they tell me to my face the way and manner I have done so, either at this site or by e-mail. Only then can I change and improve. And apologize, if my behaviour was out of line. Otherwise, I am just left hangin...

So, by opting out, the only choice the person now has is to tell me to my face. And this feedback gives me the potential to improve myself.

I have a dream that sons of former Mac Users and sons of window Users will be able to sit at the same table... I have a dream that Linux Users will not be judged by their size, but by their character...
That's why I deranked myself also. Equality for Windows and Mac Users!
