Default Support points question

I was playing a PBEM campaign.
The results were all draw, we were about 5 games in. We had a talk (email) and we talked about support points and repair points etc. The game was a modern 32K starting campaign.
After each I would receive about 6K in repair points and between 1600 and 3400 in support points.
He told me he was getting about 6K in repair points and 10K in support points. He was not adding them per battle, but new 10K. Why such a huge difference? Is the composition of the core force directly affecting how many support points you get or something else?

Repair points are based on core value, and victory or loss - you get less for a defeat, more for a victory, more if it was a special battle.

Support points are based on the battle size - which takes into account the force values of both players.

Battle type is also important, you will get more support if you are attacking vs delaying or defending, of course.

All the battles were meeting engagements. No other type or een special battle. All were draws with small point difference, some times in my favour, some times in his.
Force values of both players, I do not understand. We both started the campaign with 32K and I am pretty sure that after a couple of battles we both had 200 units in our core. If after a few battles I had the core units woth 32K and he 35K, would that mean that he would get more support points?

If it was a couple of hundrend or something points I could understand, but me receiving just over 3K of support points and he 10K doesn't feel right?

depends - if one side got mauled over the campaign, it would get less.

The winner will be spending less on repair, and perhaps expanding his core or upgrading, the loser will be wasting points on fixing what was broken. As his core gets more valuable over the loser, he starts to see an advantage.

Moral really is to lose as little stuff as possible, as it will tend to snowball in the winners favour if he is always in a better repair situation.

Cheers

But I am not talking about Repair points. I am talking about support points for support units before each battle.

A guess here you have expanded your core while he has not or to a lesser extent so as draws & meeting game balances the diffrence.
