Smoke Dischargers

Has there been any thought on the option to disable the smoke dischargers?

I get frustrated by the AI's willingness to pop smoke every time someone throws corn husks at my armor.

Certainly be nice if we "could" have a disabling option, like the main weapons and MGs have.
