Sorry for the blast of messages.
That sword was doing a great job of protecting you from remote attacks like Fires from Afar and Seeking arrow. I needed to remove it not only to give myself an advantage in the battle, but to open you up to Murdering Winter (even though you're protected with 50% resistance it still does a lot of damage in 3-cold provinces) and soon Flames from Sky.

Ah so it was Wish that did it. I learned the hard way what something like ROS can do to my poor mages!!

Rain of Stones, aka "Rocks fall, everyone dies".

does that work well? i was thinking of employing it in another game-i was ulm, fighting mictlan. thought maybe my heavier armor would protect me. instead i used my pretender for fires from the sky and he got killed-there was a dome.
i'm not making this sh*t up. i am really this bad. would rain of stones have been a good move? the armies were big(me-200 units, him maybe 350-400)

I would say so yes. Rain of Stones is devestating on lightly armored. Also can do a hit and run depending on what he has. Single caster casts it and retreats.
Also - 12 hour delay.

Ulm knocked out Bone Daddy in this game with his Dome of Fiery Death that was protecting his capitol -- even though BD had extra armor and a ring of fire (liches are susceptible to fire). Luckily, BD is immortal and bounced back the next turn, but I now have a no remote attack policy with my pretender. I actually had this policy from my first game when I unwisely mind hunted with my immovable sphinx pretender and got him feebleminded, but I really mean it this time :)
It's a good idea to try to figure out what dome someone might have and put in the appropriate defenses.

Wasn`t it, by chance, against EA Pan? A province full of Sages? Because it`s EXACTLY what happened with one of my opponents long ago.

IIRC, it`s ~16 damage to everyone. Enough to wound every enemy demon badly, at least. And kill some.

It was against MA T'ien in Santa in the Chimney several months back.

Matty,
Do my eyes deceive me or did one of your 1D communion boys cast Undead Mastery last turn? I knew communions were impress, but that's just scary. I'm glad my army didn't catch you last turn because I'm not sure I would have won with that in your back pocket.

Maybe. Maybe not (but he probably did). 300 years from now when Bogarus his rid the world of all undead, they will sing songs about the march of that army.

Actually I think those mages have a booster to take them to D2 but I have enough I believe to get a D1 to undead mastery. It wasn't my original intent though. i was hoping to break into smaller battle groups, but you know what happens to plans in war.

It looked all natural through the collective power of your crazy-big communion. The scary thing is that even when your mages die, they arise as magic casting zombies with the same magical ability because of that nifty Ankh.
This should be an interesting turn for both of us :)

Yea. I'm happy for the Ankh. I love having smart dead mages.

Nope. My guys are all keeping their magic. I probably have 15 mages that got killed and kept it.

Lucky Me. Not that it really matters anyway in the long run, but that helped a lot of mages. Damn nice artifact.

There's a fair amount of file manipulation that takes place in D3, which makes it easy to get messed up along the chain.
Perhaps you should request a turn resend from the server and retake your turn and see if that clears things up?

I'm about to leave for a trip and will be unable to take any turns until late Monday night.
I've already sent in my current turn, but I think I'll need a slight delay for the following turn. I should have it in by early morning Wednesday, so hopefully we can delay hosting until then.

Is there anyone here who wants to keep fighting? I'm going to run a major battle or 2 with Ermor to see how it turns out, but I'm assuming everyone has conceded at this point. If not please let me know and we'll continue to play it out.
Cheers and Thanks all for playing.

Atlantis got wiped out this past turn and the only players that are playing regularly are you and C'tis, so I'm hoping this isn't a problem for anyone.
For this turn, I'm operating under the assumption that the game is over and we're messing around, so I only took a partial move (a full move is brutal for me) and focused on sending my boys to Isen Hills and a few attacks against Ulm.
In Isen Hills I'm jumping in some forces to cast Fog Warriors and Army of Lead along with that Luck Sword I stole from you. If you want to face just chaff with no magical backup then let me know and I'll pull them back.

Nah. If its just chaff I think it will be an annihilation. It will be fun to watch with you casting Fog Warriors and Army of Lead.

That was a wild battle.
Both of our armies pretty much destroyed themselves. There was so much carnage it was difficult to see what was happening, but it looks like most of your mages got wiped out by a Phoenix Fire cascade brought on by fatigue damage.
Did you have the Ankh? I didn't see it on your commanders, but it looks like your mages turned into zombies afterward.

That was funny to watch. Almost had an apocalyptic feel to it with all the undead across from the smaller force. Congrats on the win. I'm going to end this game. Ermor with Bone Daddy and Revenant2 the winner. Congratulations!
