Map editing problem

I recently was reworking a campaign. When I went into the editor of the scenario file and tried to set the start line for a user campaign using the "!" there was not response. is this a bug which has cropped up since the latest patch

The ! key is working for me fine here. Did you remember to use the shift key, assuming your keyboard needs that (like the UK 101 keyboard does)?

Yes Andy I used the shift key and tried the control and alt keys also...each time nothing happens...I am going to check out the keyboard to see if there is a problem there and I will get back to you
