I'm adding some of the sprites cut from your screenshots to the Wiki, just as a way of illustrating the individual nation strategy sections. Hopefully I can get a unique and cool sprite for each, but I'm missing some for specific nations:

Count me in as an American familiar with Asterix (although I've never gotten around to seeing the live-action movie which was made a few years back).

Although I may not completely count as my father's a Spanish immigrant and discovered the books while growing up over there. ;-)

Bandar Log: I'll post a levitating Rishi.
Machaka: units haven't changed, the new heroes are rather unorthodox for the nation. Pick something from DomII.
Midgård - no changes in graphics.
Oceania - well, there is the DomII mod which has pics, but I quess I'll post something.
Patala - I'll post a naga. Perhaps even a Nagarishi. They are eeevil, especially for Late Age.
Pythium - I'm not sure if graphics got updated. I didn't notice changes, but there might be some.
Utgård - no new graphics.
Vanheim - no new graphics.

They also have Tiger Riders, but I personally think that Rishi is their greatest force. LA Patala also has armored Bandar, so this one doesn't fit as an icon as well.

Here's one of the big, BIG bombs. Nagarishi. He can take a more human form, in which he can wear all equipment. He has one less Water in that form, though. The random? 110%WESN - EVERY and EACH of those increases something he already has. Of course, all nagas are limited to the capital. Patala gets at best S2N1 Gurus elsewhere.
