Re: Your Biggest Dom3 Battle
For such huge battles screenshots and/or the turn files would be very nice.

Re: Your Biggest Dom3 Battle
I think I had two 500 unit armies clash once. But more than that I had a skelly-spam army storm a castle one time and they were unable to take the gate. By the end of the battle the left side of the battlefield was completely filled with skellies. Every square.

Re: Your Biggest Dom3 Battle
I need to play more.
The largest battle I had so far was some 300 units of Ulm storming a Tien Chi cast defended by about 200 units... Still, pretty impressive, when I compare it to the small armies I used in Dom 2.

I have a screenshot of an army of ca. 1600 Longdeaths and some PD. It looks quite nice

Re: Your Biggest Dom3 Battle
Is it about single player games? I'd think that in large MP the big battles would have numbers well in thousands. At least in Dom2 they were. I don't think that numbers in Dom3 will be much different. Essentially the limit was how much troops that can survive FfS,RoS etc you could bring. It wasn't worthwhile to bring more of other troops as only 10-20% of them would ever reach the real battle.

The turn files ARE attached to my first post... I think it took an hour or so before I realized I had forgotten something, though.

Re: Your Biggest Dom3 Battle
I've had a few battles last 75 rounds or more, not sure how many participants, but their must have been a lot and they must have been pretty evenly matched since there wasn't a DM. The AI regularly dumps anywhere from 800-1450 troops on my Niefel giants though. I counter with waves of 60+ skinshifters, which usually manage to eat up their territory, and hold that territory with defense 40-90 until they can't feed/clothe/pay their soldiers.

Re: Your Biggest Dom3 Battle
The attacking army will always start routing after turn 50. Manual, page 80. It doesn't mention the defenders routing, though, even though I'm pretty sure they rout 25 or so turns before the last remaining creatures (like 100+ paralyzed Sphinxes with active Soul Vortex or something) are killed off.
