best summonable astral mage

Do want the mage to be a general summon or can it be nation specific?

I don't know if there's better general summon than golem but for nation specific Contact Couatl (c'tis & mictlan)is pretty good. S3 mage for 40 nature gems and it's very easy to get paths required. Even shaman can do it.

thanks shovah. I'd forgotten that lamia queens are astral. i know tartarians can get it, but I'm looking for something a little less end-gamish.... I'm thinking of stuff around the same time you could think about summoning the elemental kings/queens.

Haven't been for quite a while, although I almost completely stopped gaming for some of that time aswell. Sort-of starting again, probably because some of my other games have stopped working.

Ether lords are the best if you cannot recruit strong astral mages. But to be communion slaves, the best may be the lizardman shaman indies if you can find any. Anything summonable is expensive.

I don't think ether lords are good for astral needs because they are so expensive. For 90 gems you could empower low level S-mage higher than the lord.

yeah that lord with his etherpplz I wanted to mention too.. not very cost effective I think. But if you want the highest astral power (and the put items on him) to cast high level spells he might be it.

I don´t think that 90 gems are enough to empower anyone near as the first level is 50 gems (I think) and you get only 40 more gems to more levels so the best you can get is S2 by empower.
