Now you've done it! I never got into Nettrek because it was so hard to survive in the multi-player environment. This is like an automated Starfleet Battles game. No need to write things down on a sheet of paper, and not even a need for another player.

No need to guess what "other" games I will be playing for a while...

Just fired up Baldur's Gate 2 SoA the other night and played way into the night. Funny how some of the older games just get you hooked and before you know it, you should have been in bed hours ago!!!

I was playing Emperor of Fading Suns recently and even started to create a mod for it based in Battletech, and it´s 1996 game! The community is in a low right now, but interest in the game sparks up from time to time...

I played this for as while. Disappointing how simplified it is. You can't design your own ships or bases. Everyone uses standard models of everything. Hardly any graphics, too. It's all about the math. It can be interesting but it could be so much more fun if they allowed a few more "standard" 4X features like custom ship designs or racial specific techs.

Then I found out about a knockoff that is a bit more detailed. It has a few interesting extras like cloaking. I'm just getting started but I'll play long enough to research some of the advanced techs and see how they work.

I actually quit AstroEmpires shortly afterwards. It was just setting queues, and I didn't want to start paying for it.
