Well, given that you stuck out to the end in an 18 hour straight marathon epic game, I'd say it is too late for you DL

Myself, I lasted until hour 12, whereupon a Klingon battlecruiser did a kamikazi run against me despite DL's best efforts to help.

Se5a also lasted until the end, but had to abandon ship when 600 Klingons boarded it through a destroyed shield arc, and finished the battle aboard a captured Klingon frigate.
