IT won't be a problem here if we use random [among 24] starting positions for everyone. LA Mari and La Atlantis have that problem only when there is #specstart used in the map file. It's really lame bug.

Ok, I thought it required a coastal province in all cases.
If we're allowed to pick nations now, I'd like to get my [various parts of my anatomy] kicked as MA Arco.

The game won't start properly if you put LA Marignon on a non-coastal start. I'm at least 80% sure of that.

I am 99,99% sure that LA Marignon can start on a non-coastal province if there are no viable coastal starting locations on the map. The problem occurs only when you put #specstart in the map file for any nation [it won't take random free prov like you'd expect]. I did some tests on that map before doing that brutal fix for Preponderance.

R'lyeh has a pretty heavy domkill too. I wouldn't know the difference, but are they better for a fun game than LA Ermor?

When you last posted, we weren't.
The first post could probably be updated that we are picking nations though.
MaxEffect asked for Utgard back on page three when the go was given, just so you know.
