Actually, that would invalidate all empire files.Quote:

You sure? I thought it only invalidated if the number of traits changed. So, if costs or the order of things changed it would confuse things a bit but not totally choke.
In any case, you might as well use R7 when creating your EMP, since the game should be updated to it soon.

You should be able to edit an older EMP file to make sure it still works.

It should only invalidate your .emp file if you actually PICKED natural merchants, right? Otherwise, hey, they're in the same order, the ones you actually picked didn't change?

It would be safest to just load up your .emp in R7, check it out, and resave it.Quote:

				 Re: Horrible Doom
My emp is uploaded. Oh, yea, and I'm back.
Edit: Sigh. See what you get when you don't test the revision before uploading your emp file? I think I found a bug in revision 7. I'm gonna double check by re-downloading the zipped file...

2nd edit: It turns out that I had the wrong install, because a fresh install of the mod is bug free. So, now I'm off to UN-upload my emp file... [ April 26, 2003, 22:22: Message edited by: dumbluck ] |

Well, that's good news in a way, atleast we won't have to all go and redesign our races!Quote:

So what's the deadline here? The game's been stalled for a long time (though understandably considering the revisions/optimization), and I'm really wanting to start! Unfortunately I'm thinking of pulling out of the P&N pre-gold game because it's been stalled for well over a month now
