				 Simultaneous movement buggier than turnbased?
I mostly play single player not PBEM. So i most of the time play turnbased games. I now tried my first simultaneous movement game and twice i got an error while playing. Not severe errors but i needed to restart SEIV. I'm not sure but i think i had to do with the movement log playback. I can't recall ever encountering an error while playing turnbased games.Anyone else noticed this?

Also, so far, i'm enjoying the simultaneous movement except for 1 thing: i have to remember i need to quit the game after the turn because it's saved then so i can't quit while playing a turn.
And i'm not used to giving fleets a formation, and setting stuff like "Optimal range" and the likes. Fun though.

Can't help you figure it out without knowing what error you are getting.

The movement replay log is extremely quirky. On my system, it disables the F6 hotkey.

Re: Simultaneous movement buggier than turnbased?
In Simultaneous I often get the error; the movement log date does not correspond to the turn date (Or something as such). Then it plays the log and it jumps between systems, often playing the same system 10 times and another once, it never stops, I'll have to (CTRL-ALT-DELETE) quit the game to make it stop.

How do you get the turn replay to work in simulataneous games off of PBW.
The few times where i've needed to see what was going on it was a challenge trying to find what files go where and even then once i got it to sort of work i had to quit my replay because it was going in an endless loop.

Re: Simultaneous movement buggier than turnbased?
I think you just have to never press the button that shows the replay for every ship. Otherwise, with 100+ ships, you will see the replay 100 times, or something, IIRC.
Last time that happened to me was like Version 1.49, I reported it to MM at length, and unless I'm mis-remembering, I think I've been afraid to press that button ever since.
As long as you press the other play button (and don't do PBEM/PBW with multiple computers without loading the previous turn first), I don't think you'll have a problem. Or at least, I haven't had that problem since way back then.

Re: Simultaneous movement buggier than turnbased?
Does the movement log work in a simultaneous game these days. I am in a game using a mod and I copied the log file that came with the turn into the saved game folder, the game folder and the mods save and game folders and when I click on the movement replay it just says "movement log replay is unavailable". The reason I want to see the replay is to see if another ship moved into an opaque storm. |

The movement log should work fine if you played the previous turn on the computer you are trying to play the log from. |
