Does Race Age Have An Effect?
Does race age and experience give players any bonus for Play By Web games, or is it just useless info?

Useless info.
No effect in any games whatsoever.
Was meant to have affect but couldn't be implemented in any good way.

It serves role-playing purposes. 
It was not implemented because it would be too easy to cheat with it, not because it couldn't be done. |

Too bad, when setting up a game the game host could stipulate the Race Age allowed. This would eliminate the cheating aspect.

Perhaps there is an unseen effect that makes players of "old" or Ancient" races cranky, with a tendency to be constantly leaving the keyboard to head for the potty.

I think if Race experience points were accumulated ONLY during single games they could give you a bonus of some sort if the game Lasted long enough.

If the race age was not saved with the empire file, there would not be much of a problem with it giving minor bonuses.
