i may have the space for it, but not the band width i only have 12 gigs a month..... but if not i know someone who will in a few weeks

If someone goes and downloads every ship set, they use the same amount of bandwidth. Having a compilation file just makes it more convenient for them. And I doubt that too many people would be downloading it each month. Certainly noone on dialup.

the full file zipped is about 112 megs 118,179,443 bytes)
The pain would be the updating of the full zip...
But it is a good idea

Yeah, that would suck. Make it a policy to do it once a month, not with every set uploaded. Keep a list of all the sets in the compilation available, so people can see what is in it before downloading. There is a program called TreePrint that works very well for listing the contents of a directory and such.
If it is only 112 MBs, that is not as big a problem as 500 MBs. Do you really think you will use 12 GB of bandwidth a month anyways?
