Re: Adamant Mod Game On PBW
You can count me...OUT...due to time factor...
But I would like to know how some of the more unusual components fair, and the combat system too.

Almost all weapons require no racial traits (save things like Temporal weapons, and a few normal ones that I have made Versions of for the three race types).

That might not be such a good idea... you know how long it takes to get a new Version of a mod uploaded on PBW? And if you're only in alpha that will basically happen all the time?
|
Not necessarily.

Then again, even if it wasn't on PBW, you'd run into data file compatibility errors, unless you made it a sequential (non-simultaneous) game...
|
Actually, just processing a turn with new data files changes the game to be compatible with them instead of the older ones. Changing the files mid-game is certainly not a problem (except for adding stuff in the middle of the files... adding to the end works fine).
Also, keep in mind that other than weapons, there is really nothing new left to add, only tweaking to be done. Unless, of course, I missed some minor things... such as stellar manipulation for Organic races... hmm... better add that soon.
