Re: PBW still down, what have you been doing?
Has anyone played Hearts of Iron?http://hearts-of-iron.wargamer.com/articles.html
I want to buy it, but I am mainly interested in human vs. human games.

I bought it and played it. Very buggy. The game almost makes sense. As a game engine it is a good effort but the bugs overwhelm the playing experience. I gave up on it. IF you can get it second hand it's worth a try otherwise Waiting for SEV would be better.

Having a great time with Dominions, an extremely well-done fantasy/medieval computer strategy game (see www.illwinter.com ).

Re: PBW still down, what have you been doing?
I wasn't into PBW yet, but was about to start...
I read a lot of webcomics, then followed a link in one of the webcomic sites and ended up entering a MUD. My addiction alert must be faulty because it failed to go off, I fear it may be too late now. Consider yourselves warned.
(Yesterday I died for the first time. I crossed a wall of fire and caught on fire. No problem, there's a pond not too far away, I ran over there, still on fire, and jumped in. The fire doesn't go out, now I'm taking drowning and fire damage, so I decide to crawl out and roll on the ground, when a lightning bolt from the storm overhead hits the pond and fries me. Aaaaargh.).
