Hey.
i know the answer to this one!
You are using the ancient trait to check out these systems in game, right?
Well, then you have set the system to have sight obscuration!
You need a ship with sensors in that system to penetrate those obscurations, when you get that ship in there, presto, new planets to colonize!!
