				 Re: What Does Weapon Modifier Mean?
 Thanks Fyron.
Weapon Modifier       := 0

For Direct Fire weapons, this is added to the weapon's chance to hit. If negative, it will make it less likely that the weapon will be able to hit it's targets.

So this will only work on Direct Fire weapons.

				 What Does Weapon Modifier Mean?
 I am working on balancing out some weapon components and noticed this at the bottom of the component entry.
 Weapon Modifier := 0

 According to the notes it means this;
 "Any special bonus this weapon receives."

 Interesting isn't it? I tried to find it one the Modding Tutorial page over at SE.net but the link was not working.

 So if any one can fill me in on what this is and how to best use it, I would be greatful.

 Is it a range modifier?
 Is it an accuracy Modifier?

 Who do you use it?
 Who do you know what the special bonus is?

				 Re: What Does Weapon Modifier Mean?
 If memory serves, it is an accuracy bonus, such as the one for the WMG, which has a nice 30 in this field.
 However, it doesn't show up in the ability list, so a dummy ability is needed to tell the player about this bonus/malus. (Or adding it in the description, that is)

 considering that no other weapon HAS a to-hit chance,that makes sense. Seekers and ramming always hit if they reach their target.

 Aren't "torpedoes" direct fire weapons? They do not seem to be seekers to me... |

				 Re: What Does Weapon Modifier Mean?
 you roll a d20 and add your BAB, STR mod, and the weapon modifier and that gives you your attack roll, if it is equal to the target AC or higher than the target AC, then its a hit
 oh wait
 this isnt DnD
