Your ships don't follow the leader in formation, which really wastes movement and can stick them in bad positions.

 | Breaking formation is always the best option cause the ships will then revert to their individual ship class strat. instead of the fleet strat.

Mac, It is not just one button, but a group of buttons in the individual strategy menus.
There are buttons for types: transports, carrier, fighters, unarmed, etc...

In tactical combat only, under Orders, Clear All Group Assignments breaks the formation, also.

With my unqouted Posts, you may have to scroll down 1 post. I refuse to qoute the post in front of mine. Fosters laziness.

Re: [Strategical Combat] Query about ship placement
Speaking of the strategy menu, is there any way to delete a strategy you have created? Sometimes I have added my own strategies by using the "Add" button but there's no "Delete" button, so when I no longer want to use the strategies I made, I can't get rid of them and they clutter the window.
As a workaround, now I no longer name the strategies I made with anything specific. I just call them "Strategy A", "Strategy B" and so on and only make 2 or 3. I keep modifying them if I need to change them, and I just remember what they do. That way the window doesn't get cluttered up with a bunch of obsolete strategies.
