As far as I know you cannot. I have never heard of a way and I have never been able to do it. Even by blowing up a star...That is one thing that would be cool to do, transport asteroids into an empty system and pile them in a sector and build a planet. Maybe SEV...

Well... first you mod the planet destroyer to work on ringworld size. Create star, build ringworld, destroy ringworld and there you go. If you really wanted to that is. |

If you blow up a ring world or sphere world, it creates a huge asteroid belt, right?

This does allow you to create an infinite number of planets though... build star, build RW, blow up, get asteroids. Build new star, new RW, get 2nd asteroid belt, and so on.

Sounds good! I'll have to try that! 100 huge planets in my home system... 
Build a stack of 7 planets, put a ship training facility on each. Ships will be 20% experienced as soon as they're constructed. |
