				 Extra Events File
I downloaded a different events file some monthsago (by Dracus - 55 events instead of 17).

I've used it with no problems but after a few
recent ship size problems because I altered some
tonnages I thought I'd ask if anyone had an
opinion on using files like this.

I know you can set the events frequency in the
settings file but does it just choose one from
 this file at random.

An opinion?Use it all you like!

Events chosen would be random, but only up to the severity setting you pick on game start

just make sure all events are arranged in correct order - from low to catastrophic. If not, edit the file. The intermixing of events reset events severety. For example, if you have "low" event at te bottom, all "high" events above will be treated as "low" by SEIV !Quote:

The nice thing about events is that you can use intel projects in making new events, and events to make new intel projects.
This has been done for many mods.

				 Re: Extra Events File
Are so many modded files a problem in multiplay? Or does the host only operate with the mods it has? Ive seen a number of ways mods are managed. A menu button allowing individual mods to quickly be turned on and off is nice. In many games people keep a clean install just for multiplaying. Ive downloaded and installed so many mods and now I cant begin to try and take any out.

	For SE4, mods are placed in a sub-directory of the SE4 folder.Quote:

On startup, the path.txt file or commandline parameters directs SE4 to look in which ever modfolder you want.
Files that are not found in the modfolder default to using the stock files.
