AI permission please(Daynarr)

I am currently working on a shipset/race of a 'scavenger' type. Daynarr, I am wondering if I could 'cut and paste' your AI off the Xi'Chung from the current modpack and modify it for my own needs (mainly speech file as my understanding of AI programming currently sucks.) This is mostly for my own use, but could be uploaded later if it shows enough promise. (after I learn how to make my own AI.) Or if this is a problem I would like to enlist the help of you or some other AI modder in the creation of my race. Currently they are titled the 'Enbalmed', a nasty 'reverse-borg' that scavenges the dead off of the battlefield and reanimates them with their essence for their own hive mind.
If anyone could give me some pointers, or the above mentioned permission, it would be appreciated.

Well, if it's for your personal use, you can do whatever you want with it.

As for uploading it later, there is a statement in readme file that addresses that

quote:
This mod may be freely distributed as long as you don't modify, add or delete any files included.

The speech file is an exception since it is not mine. The author of it is Nyx from Twin Galaxies and you need to ask him if you want to use or modify it.

Thank you. Didn't want to step on toes due to ignorance. Might just have to get around to understanding Moray and AI programming someday as I would like to make a few contributions to the SE4 world. I got a lot of ideas but little pratical skills in putting them down. ( I'm a writer, not a programmer

). Probally just end up studying the default AI's and speech vs the mods speech/AI and learn from there.
