Anyone up for a PBEM game?
Because lack of experience, I don´t want to host. You should also know that I´m from Sweden, so there could be a huge time differential. Anyone? |

Who ever does run a PBEM game I recommend not using simultanous mode.

I have to disagree, Seawolf. I do a lot of PBEM's ( EFS ) and wish it had the capacity for simultaneous mode. For strategy games, turn based PBEM is slow and players quickly lose interest. And this is with only 5 players. I cannot imagine it with 8 or 10. At least with decent players and a 24 hour rule, you can get the turns out fairly fast. |

Re: Anyone up for a PBEM game?
I am planning to start a simul-turn PBEM game in a couple of weeks. If there are any game-killing bugs in simultaneous mode, perhaps they will be patched by then. I will post to this Forum and perhaps a newsgroup or two when I am ready. |

Speaking of newsGroups, is there one for SE? I've found the Stars! newsgroup, but no Space Empires newsgroup.

I haven't pbem'd for a while. Do the free internet disk drives make the procedure any easier these days or is it still the poor hosts email accountant who will absorb the load? |

 Comar, what's EFS?
Leoric, Jag är också från Sverige, Linköping närmare bestämt. Kul att se en landsman här.

Translation for the less fortunate (non-swedes, hehe):

Leoric, I'm also from Sweden, Linköping to be more precise. Nice to see a fellow countryman here.

Emperor of the Fading Suns. It's a strategic RPG about 5 or 6 years old. Still a lot of fun. |
