It would be so much user friendly if you would propose generic research exchange and the AI would reply with what they would give and what they would like. This endless clickling is really pretty useless

Or am I missing something! MOO2 had it beat as far as this aspect goes

It would also be good if I could actually tell what level of a certain tech I wanted and which I would give. Adding the same tech 7 times to get/give level 7 seems strange to me at least. Would be better of it said "Ship Construction VII" instead of listing ShipConstruction 7 times. And what levels I have. Seems kind of strange I can offer something for trade that I don't even have.
