Re: Access Violation by Starfuy.exe
Updated GeForce 3 drivers to latest 45.23. I got past the intro screens, actually selected and named ship, etc. After that, nothing...more access violations and floating point errors...

Re: Access Violation by Starfuy.exe
I think its a soundcard problem.
I tried to update my nvidia soundcard drivers. Witch didnt work (it broke down during installation or something).
But it did install some files becaurse my sounds are working now. After replacing the sounds directory in the Starfury directory my sounds were working again.
But you arent missing anything, i dont like the sounds at all.
[TIP] copy/paste your sounds directory out of the starfury directory and the game should work!!!!!!!

Re: Access Violation by Starfuy.exe
Certain sound cards are notorious for having issues if they don't have current DirectX certified drivers for them. If all else fails try disabling Direct Sound or decreasing acceleration.

Re: Access Violation by Starfuy.exe
BTW please report any bugs (such as the sound card issues) to sf@malfador.com. That way Aaron can make sure they get included on his list of issues.

What he means is to decrease the hardware acceleration of sounds. Its in Control Panel -> Sounds and Audio Devices -> Advanced Button -> Hardware Tab.
