I've had no problems from the get-go. Here are my system specs:

 Asus Motherboard
 AMD 1.4 Ghz
 256 MB
 ATI Radeon w/128MB
 Sound BLaster Live 5.1
USB (4 Devices Plugged in- MS IntelliExplorer 3 Mouse, Iomega Zip Drive, Nostromo Game Pad, Pocket PC)
 WinXP Pro

David Gervais makes a good point to make sure nothing is running in the background which could interfere with Starfury. Antivirus Programs and Firewalls have a nasty habit of causing software conflicts for no apparent reason and at random moments. Of course, making sure your audio & video drivers are up to date should be done first.

One note on the freezing game. When it freezes and you alt-tab out and back in - the graphics become messed up BUT if you wait for a few minutes it unfreezes and the graphics are the same as before, i.e. not messed up. Probably this is my system's fault and I predict a full reinstall |

I have never had any problems arise from running the SF beta with both Norton Antivirus and Norton Personal Firewall running in the background.
SF has always had problems with alt-tabbing. Either run the game in windowed mode, or do not alt-tab. [ October 03, 2003, 00:28: Message edited by: Imperator Fyron ] |

alt-tabbing was used just to check whether the game or the computer hung. I also have both Nortons running on my system.
Because of that obligatory pause I started smoking more |

Are high scores available in the demo? It has always been greyed out and I haven't been able to open it up. But when I die it says I set a new high score, but it is still greyed out.

From what I've gathered, there is no way you can communicate with anybody, or any ships, other than your contact at Freeport. But I think we're all hoping for some real communication sometime soonQuote:

I also have a SoundbLaster Live Value and had some problems with the game. These problems were solved by downloading and installing the latest FULL SBLive unified driver package.Quote:

 | Yes, getting those drivers will fix the problem I have heard. Also, the latest patch addresses this as well.
