I tried the display safe mode yesterday evening, and it seems to fix the static pictures display bugs.
But another thing I have now : the screen flashes (a white screen during a quater of second) very often... Am I damned ?

I get the white flash everyonce in awhile as well... very annoying. One time I got about 5 in a row. I have no idea what's causing it. This is on a Radeon 9800 pro with latest Catalyst drivers.

when a ship hits the edge of the screen while selected, sometimes i get the red box accross the whole screeen horizontally. not exactly game breaking, though.

Ditto on the red box. Occasionally annoying, but not terrible. Demo Version, of course.
