Illwinter doesnt host their own site. I have been talking to them about it and offering some share-space but so far they are hosted. I dont think the options for Plone and the Zope it runs on would be open. (thanks for the pointer though, I do have Zope running) [/QB]
Plone is much easier to work with than the underlying Zope, basically only making you deal with Zope on the rare occasion you want to change a site's look/feel.
Too bad if their host won't allow it. It's gives a nicer site and is easier to manage than something html based.
Caveat. Plone is easiest to setup on Windows, where you basically just install it and turn it on. I'm trying to apt-get it on Debian right now, and am having to wrestle with configuration.  |
