				 Re: Affliction record?
I had a GoR'ed longdead giant with the following:lost an eye
lost the other eye as well
 blind
 mute
 feebleminded
 chest wound(arrowed!)
 lost the head
 limp
 diseased(gave him a fever fetish-no effect)
 lost an arm

Well undead work by different rules in every game and film that has them. Clearly in Dominions, they still do use their eyes.Quote:

I'm very glad my units don't get arbitrarily destroyed at 4 afflictions. In my opinion, that would be really lame (so to speak
  ).
I think not being able to dismiss units is somewhat amusing and doesn't need to be changed, although I suppose ideally I'd like to see them dismissable. However if so, I would have the game keep track of them, and re-use them sometimes later in play, having some of them show up in random independent armies, independent random events, mercenary bands, some might decide to volunteer for an enemy, etc. You might also have the option to have someone try to kill them rather than dismiss them, but that would require a combat, and they might escape anyway.

				 Re: Affliction record?
Speaking of afflictions...I have noticed with regard to SCs who are prophets or pretenders:
Afflictions appear to be based on base hps as cherry pointed out. If you go from high dominion...lots of hps...to high negative dominion...low hps...you will discover that you really pile up the afflictions as you are slain. Because you have that high number of hps starting out...and you get high percentages of your base hps done to you cumulatively as you are killed. |

Meet Phradmon. Heroic in life. Heroic in death. Heroic MR stat.
Wonder what's on his mind. Still, he is the prophet.

				 Re: Affliction record?
 Phradmon, ouch
Do undead keep accumulating afflication due to disease, which I think has no HP loss/turn effect on them? If so, he'll be more the shining example of afflication-ridden hero the longer he stays un-vanquished
Btw, is this how IW treats their Prophet? I wonder who will volunteer from this forum to be the next prophet should Phradmon finally retires

No, diseased undead don't gain afflictions from the disease. I wonder though if someone has all possible afflictions and they're supposed to get another - do they just dissolve?
So KO, what is Phradmon's heroic story? He must have something of a saga that led to his current state.

Well, um, I don't have the impressive rap sheets like you guys do, but I do think that one of the funniest afflictions I've seen was on a Great Spider:
 "Lose a couple of eyes."

I almost spit soda when I read that.

Phradmon is the result of an all AI quick test game. So Phradmon doesn't have a story.
Actually he does have some background. I found him when I inspected Pangaea (CW) besieging Caelum. Due to a bug Phradmon was immortal (not the old fashioned dominion Version, but true immortality where you cannot be killed) and got back from the grave whenever he was scewered. He singlehandedly defeated hundreds of enemies trying to get him (if boring them to death counts as defeating).

				 Re: Affliction record?

I had a similar thing happen in a game I was playing recently as Vanheim (not exactly the same bug though apparantly). A Marignon inquisitor died, but wasn't removed from the battle. He still counted as being alive for the purposes of Marignon's presence in the battle, but he never moved or cast anything and none of my units would acknowledge his existance. After turn 40ish they auto-routed, which sucked. I found him in the middle of the battlefield in the replay (only looked cause I lost with a vastly superior force) with like -27 hp and a bunch of wounds. I still have that turn file, since I figured I'd send it in with a bug report one of these days.Quote:
