Re: Dom II Players genders
And I know of a 14 year old little sister of a friend, but she doesn't post here.

I find your sig interesting in light of the comment you made about females ...
And, BTW, look at the poll results again.

Current results say even 2, but I suppose it's Johan and Kristoffer lying to attract players !

Nope, that would be myself speaking up for my under-represented gender.

Re: Dom II Players genders
Heh? *Eyes the poll* Remember when Heroes of Might and Magic 3 was released. When someone posted a posted a similar poll, everyone was amazed that the women outnumbered the men.
There seems to be a fair number of female gamers interesting in strategy games, otherwise known as the sweaty and unshaved bastion of men in torn T-shirts.
And one got to admit it. While the game is very good it's sort of lacking in initial magnetism. Heck I wouldn't have given it a second chance if it hadn't been for a famous resident of the Age of Wonders forums, talking himself warm in praise for Dominions 2. The competition is fierce and I guess it's hard for this game to stand out amongst all the prettier faces.

Re: Dom II Players genders
Well, one minor problem with Dom is that there are few 'cute' units, or units that some of us would like to have a warm, fuzzy bond with. That just leaves the big 'ol sweaty hunks to get excited about ...
Me, I love my -- avenging -- angels.
I do have a soft spot for my Vastness SC, but it's hardly cute.

Re: Dom II Players genders
In many forums where females tend to be outnumbered they also tend to be lurkers for a long time to avoid coversations that are.... off topic. Actually thats probably true of any group that feels they are probably outnumbered in a forum, they tend to lurk.
I thought we were probably going to end up with a bunch of A/S/L Posts (AOL started the ASL's Age Sex Location)
