Hi licker
For terrain settings I dislike to have to make calculations , I use the map editor - setting terrains flags is the thing it does best
But it seems like the only thing it can do well - does someone know if it's possible to edit neighbor links one by one with it ?
It is very convenient to edit your neighbor links with the map editor as well. Left click on a provinces to add a neighbor, hold down ctrl (or maybe it was alt) when you click to remove a neighbor.

Thanks Oh Great JK !! I battled for ...well, minutes.. with the editor to achieve this to no avail !
What about documenting the thing a bit more ?

Sets the terrain of a province. The terrain is calculated by adding certain numbers for different terrain types or other attributes.
1=small, 2=large, 4=sea, 8=rivers, 16=mountain,
32=swamp, 64=waste, 128=forest and 256=farm.
Add to this 512=nostart and 1024=magic rich.
windowed mode
You may set the resolution in windowed mode as you like, so there's no need to use the "maximize" button. E.g. I'm running DOM2 at 1080x810 with the desktop at 1152x864. Just make shure you keep the corret width-to-height ratio ..
thanks for answering my questions!
Though I don't think the problem with my windowed mode is the resolution, its just slightly too wide, and offset upwards, my taskbar and other open windows are of course unaffected by this.
