I know what you feel Atrocities. My family and I have 6 cats and 2 dogs. When one of them dies (which happens unfortunately often it seems) it always scars me right to the soul. Assuming I have a soul, which I'm not sure of!
I know I'll always remember a long haired grey kitten we got...he was..well I can't describe him. Who can describe the happiness their pet has brought them. Well, one day we came back from visiting my grandparents, and found him out on our driveway. All our animals live outside, and he had wandered out onto the road and was hit by a car. The saddest part is he was still alive, and in much pain. His back was broken and he could barely move. We had no choice but to take him and the gun out and put an end to his suffering.
No matter what the pet, no matter what happens to them, we will always feel sorrow when they pass. You have my deepest condolences.
