				 Tractor Beams for tugs
Is there any way to use tractor beams to tug space stations in a sector? If not could this be modded?
Yeah, I'm getting that mod SE:IV bug.

Nope. Sorry. Hopefully something like this will be in SEV though.

Is it possible to mod a emergency movement component for bases? If so, it might present an interesting alternative to "tugs". |

Not without giving them at least 1 regular movement point.

I remember a long time ago, before it was fixed in a patch, you could put lots of emergency propulsion pods on bases and have them move around. You couldn't give them the movement order, but you could order them to drop or pick up units at another location to make them go there. |

 | IIRC doesn't emergancy propulsion add to existing movement points? So a ship with 6 movment points that used an Emerg Prop would have 8 or more?

If that's the case then if a modded component for bases that provides a movement of zero was on the base, then emergancy propulsion would enable the base to move, wouldn't it?

 | Nope. You will be able to "use" the component, but the base won't actually move. This was incorporated in a previous patch to prevent this sort of thing.

Slick.
