Does non-ahgression protect against minefields ?

Yes. The only time you trigger minefields is if you have a "red" treaty or no treaty with the other empire. These states are no treaty, war, and non-intercourse treaty. All other treaties avoid conflicts of all sorts between your vehicles and theirs.

As for Non Intercourse Treaties. Just Consider it the "I'm In a Merciful Mood today and your ships will live, Tommorrow is another day however..." treaty
