 | I always loved the movie, but never had Showtime when SG-1 started it's run there. When it moved to Sci-fi channel I was hooked instantly. Over the last couple years I managed to catch up on most of the old episodes as Sci-Fi has been running reruns pretty much every day along with the original episodes once a week. But I had never managed to catch the original episode until they had a marathon a few months back. I about fell out of my chair when Carter first met O'neill and she was explaining how they rigged up the gate and got it working. Her line was they "MacGyvered it." There was kind of a half second pause and Richard Dean Anderson got this deadpan look and you could see in her eye that Amanda Tapping was struggling not to laugh. I've always wondered if they didn't tell Anderson before hand about that line. His reaction was too perfect for someone expecting it.

That was a great line wasn't it? I loved that.

Still prefer the Season 7 Finale quote.
SG1 with booze in Jack O'Neill's front room
Drunk Daniel: "Oh come on, Teal'c Is the Deepest Guy I know, Say something Deep teal'c, I bet you won't even understand this!"

Teal'c "My Depth is Immaterial to this Conversation..."
Jack: "No more drink for you Daniel!"

 Or something along those lines

I like the quote someone around here has. While starting the Prometheus.

 O'Neil: Inertial dampeners?
 Carter: Check
 O'Neil: Phasers?
 Carter: Sorry sir.

 | Ahem...not to be pedantic, but it was actually (if my memory is correct) when they were first flying the X-302, not the Prometheus. The quote goes:

Carter: Inertial dampeners?
O'Neil: Cool....and check. Phasers?
Carter: Sorry, sir.

				 Re: OT: Movies...
 Looks like an FPS.
I'm thinking some sort of strategy game might have been better.
You'd play as a System Lord; enslaving planets, building fleets and troops to send against the other system lords.
Pile troops though the stargate, and/or bring a fleet to blast things from low orbit.

Those pesky humans would send little sneaky raids every now and then to keep you on your toes, blowing up your shipyards, enticing your soldiers to defect, etc.

What challenge is that? Play as the pesky humans and bring the Go'uld empire to it's knees!
