What The!!??

Just playing around with some ship designs and I noticed that the Repulsar Beam has one of its targetables as 'Planets'! (Trac Beam too). What the heck is that supposed to do?? (and how big a ship do you need to move a planet??) (kinda like Null-Space targeting fighters, why bother, like nuking an ant!)

Those weapons both do standard damage, along with some movement. I think probably (never tried it) if you target the planet, it will just do the standard damage.

Think of it like you are targeting the units, pop and facilities in the planet, and not the planet and it makes more sense. Pushing and pulling the units and facilities on the surface of the planet in relation to the planet itself.

No silly, you just tractor a bubble of aptmoshere up with the unsuspecting victim. As long as they don't try to stick there head outside the bubble, everythings ok. And if they do, they are too stupid to be lab rats anyway.

Just make sure you pull up the SENTIENT race on the planet. Imagine your chagrin when you pull up a load of cows or skunks or telephone sanitizers or something else equally simple-minded...

Maybe this should cause unhappiness in the target empire; after all, only really weird people like being abducted by aliens and used for "medical experiments" (aka orifice probing...)
