My vote would be to continue and to look at 48hr turn around. I am in Oz so the time zone is quite different and it would be nice to be able to go away on weekends while the game is going and not miss 2 turns.
Provided adversely affected does not mean that they lost their pretender... that would be just to much at this stage of the game.

PS: This is going to be a huge game and very interesting given all the unknowns - it will be worth the time it takes I am sure.
