				 Re: Starship Troopers Mobile Infantry
Command suit was twice as fast as a marauder, they made that pretty clear when they landed on P and Captain Blackstone(was it blackstone?) was running ahead to link up with the unit they were replacing.
I'm also really interested in adding power-armored infantry to this game, and, up until about 5 minutes ago, thought I was the only one with the idea.

Nice to see others that are more capable with the modding materials are thinking the same things.

BTW this was my first post.

				 Re: Starship Troopers Mobile Infantry
The problem in my mind is modelling all of the weapons, most of which Rico doesn't even talk about.
Beyond the mini-nukes, the flamethrowers and hand flamers(there is a difference) the Y-rack, the pellet incendiary grenades and the various gas bombs there wasn't any real mention of rifle type weaponry.

They mentioned rifles while they were training at camp curry but not when they were using the suits.

				 Re: Starship Troopers Mobile Infantry
My interest in porting the concept of MI to WinSPMBT is in creating an MI *like* unit. I'll equip it with weapons of my own, but I love the idea of highly mobile 1 man "squads" that can be dropped in and wreak havoc on enemy rear areas.
As for porting the movie's troopers, that's simple: Take an average rifle platoon and give it an experience modifier of -40. |

Rico Does mention, that he got a warrior bug at "long range" just after the bugs break out on Planet P, that's the part I was referring to. |

 | Oh yeah, he blasts it and makes some comment about how it was moving sideways, firing as it went.

Doesnt really say how he got it, but we can assume it was out of flamer range because he alludes to some distance right? |
