Sneaky supplies

When you're sneaking about in enemy territory, you never see the province's supplies shown on the strategic map. Does that mean it's impossible for sneaking armies to starve??

Remember both angles of this... such as using scouts to hide in a territory you own providing food supplies to an army which might be killed. Thus you won't lose the bag of wine.
