Space Empires Wiki Project

I have experience with working in wikis. I also know how to set them up... of course, so can anyone who can follow instructions, as I've never fully set one up before that lasted longer than a few months.

I'm also new to Space Empires, though I dabbled with SEII and SEIII many years ago when I was just a small inigma in High School. I never thought SEIV would come out in my lifetime, so when I heard about it again last month, I jumped on board.

As a recent newb, I can bring a fresh perspective of what is needed. I had to hunt for documentation in many areas, and I've collected quite a library of information. I'd like to contribute as I learn new things in Space Empires, and this is something I felt has been needed since I asked my first question, "Is there a guide at all for this game"?

I can't view the malfadorica well - no xml capability. And if I do view it, there are errors on the page.

But not only that, I want MORE than an encyclopedia. I want a living, breathing, strategy guide document editable by all, as well as more importantly I'd love to see our current Newbie FAQ ported to a wiki format.

The stuff collected on the malfadorica would be awesome stuff to move over to a cleaned-up SEW, incorporated all into once source; but it wouldn't necessarily be reinventing that wheel as the primary pages for the SEW would be guides, strategies, manuals, and Newbie FAQs; with the encyclopedia slowly being grafted in for reference.

The whole proposal is simply the concept of your all-in-one place to go for all your questions about everything Space Empires (including mods, strategies, helpful tips, etc, etc.)

Atrocities, would you be interested in hosting such a monster on spaceempires.net?

It would start out very small and slow, perhaps maybe just a port of the FAQ, and then updated by the community, and then later a port of the Dub Strategy Guide (organized and trimmed down of course), and then let the rest of the SEW take off as users contribute more and more to it.

Hmm... always wanted to play around with wikis... This does overlap with the Encyclopedia Malfadorica, but that thing is in dire need of repair...

I have set up a wikipedia. Whether or not this goes anywhere, who knows. But it is there...
