Re: A Brief Pause
see wish - that's interesting. it has been claimed that communion does not help in magic duels, but i've remained dubious - how many duel attacks did he make, against what, and none were succesful? if you don't mind providing the specifics...

Re: A Brief Pause
one was succesful, a tie actually, so they both died, she killed 2 astral magi in one shot - i guess I had them standing to close to eachother, all of them actually only master'd at the time. The slave spell came too late, so I guess it was luck of the draw.
I ran tests in a side game with 1 celestial master vs a number of communioned shaman. Once there where 8 shaman they seemed to be able to kill him more often, so I think the communion does play a factor on comparitive astral levels. but I could be wrong.
Since he was the one magic dueling, the best defence i could think of was a wall of astral mages, equally communioned - which is easier to research in a pinch than magic duel is.

Re: A Brief Pause
Looking closer at the scales, Jotuns situation has been explained, but it looks like Citis took a major it as well.
I'm a little bored waiting for the next turn so entertain me with details!!

Re: A Brief Pause
At your service...
9 commanders, 329 regular units, and 8 magic beings stormed a C'tissian castle. Half of them died, including the red dragon, and the rest ran away. Alas for them, they had nowhere to run!
It was a good fight, though... I lost over 100 undead in the battle, many of them horsemen. I hope Shovah's happy.

Re: A Brief Pause
Well, it was a suicide run. With Ermor and Abysia carving up my land I tryed to at least hurt someone before I went down.

Re: A Brief Pause
If this battle had gone the other way, C'tis would pretty clearly have been a goner. I guess Ermor and Abysia would have finished you soon after, though? As it is, it will be tough for C'tis to make a difference, surrounded by big powerful neighbors...
Anyway, again, well-fought. I'm glad your wyrm and my wyrm are on good terms in COW.
