Yeah, "Earth type" planets in the BSG universe are exceedingly rare. Except for the twelve in close proximity to each other that became The Colonies.

My sarcasm isn't directed at you Z, just at the inconsistency of that particular plot device. Maybe the reason they are so rare in the rest of the galaxy is that they are all concentrated in one little area. Law of averages and all.
