				 OT: Fiction Association
We havn't had enough silly lately. Therefore, as the local crazy mousey, it is my pleasure to bring to you 'Fiction Association'.
Now, you probably all know how word association means. Someone says a word, someone else says the first word they think of from that, and so on.

This works something like that. Someone says "The movie 'butterfly' dealt with quantum theory" (Never seen it, but the commercials were obvious, for a sci-fi fan) Someone else says "In the 'Death Gate Cycle books', the most powerfull magic is done by altering probability".

 And then, someone says...

In the book Engine City, lightspeed jumps are instantaneous for the traveler but takes place in real-time for an outside observer (e.g. you jump 80 lightyears, it's 80 years into the future, you jump back home, 160 years have elapsed since your departure, but for you it was only the week or so you spent at the other planet).

In the series 'The Serrano Legacy' by Elizabeth Moon, longevity treatments are just now becoming available and certain people are attempting to control the populace through poisoning certain people with the drugs.
