 | Hm...I think we are all subjective about these things. Personally I think that Gladitaor was much better then Troy. The atmosphere, music, acting and directing was better in Gladiator. Troy is a good movie as well of course.

Only one movie comes in mind, that had such a strong atmosphere, decent music & directing like what we've seen in Gladiator...and it is Conan the Barbarian.

The original Conan ruled, in my opinion a far superior movie.
Hell, the first 15 minutes of Conan is better than Gladiator, one of the best movie openings ever. Great soundtrack, James Earl Jones, the riddle of steel, and HE KNOCKED OUT A CAMEL FOR THE LOVE OF GOD!

Russell Crowe is great. I especially liked Beautiful Mind. |

Crowe will come back from the afterlife somehow. Mythology meets with reality. Rumors also says that Juba and Lucius will have major roles in the movie too. Nothing is sure at the moment of course, hopefully we can gert.
Since Ridley Scott will be the director, everything will be perfect, trust me.

 | I assure you, there was camel-punching in Conan the Barbarian (pt. I) I can't say if there was any in Conan the Destroyer as that movie hasn't merited nearly the same amount of watching, despite its possession of Wilt the Stilt. |

I don't remember Conan the Destroyer very much (except the part where he fights some big horned monster), but Conan the Barbarian is better than all these movies mentioned. |

There was camel punching in Conan the Destroyer as well. He did it shortly before he rescued female fighter (Grace Jones).
I agree that Conan the Barbarian is best movie of all those.
