OT: How to kill Superman
Step 1) Find a piece of kryptonite. If you are a super-powered individual or exessively rich, this should not be hard. The DC universe is full of them.
Step 2) Place the piece of kryptonite some place where Superman will be likely to move past it in close proximity.
Step 3) Place an invisible wall shortly after the piece of kryptonite. Again, this should not be difficult for the super-powered or exessively rich, which the DC universe abounds in.
Step 3.5) You might want to place another piece of kryptonite on the other side of the wall.
Step 4) Wait untill he is actually dead for the accompanying celebration.

Step 0) Negate Superman's Plot Protection (Vital!)
Don't forget step 0. Otherwise, you're liable to have issues with a minion of yours that's overly upset by something or other you've set up lately, that a live Superman might solve... wait... that sounds familiar.... ah, movies.....

Depends on which literature you refer to.
In some, Marvel has stated that Superman's invulnerability basically acts as a personal force field.... which protects his tights along with his skin. So when he's under the influence (of Kryptonite, of course), a dagger pointed his way will get to his skin despite the tights that were unscathed a moment before when he was blasted by an anti-tank round.

Yes, negating Supermans' plot protection is vital. Unless you're Doomsday, but if so, he'll only come back, anyway.

Anytime superman gets in trouble, the ambiguously gay duo have always had his back. For obvious reasons it's been covered up till now.
