intel 2.8 processor HELP????

When we move to Washington and I start home schooling I was thinking of getting a duel core computer, a graphics card that can split to two separate monitors, and a sound card to split also. I haven’t seen a sound card like that though so I may need another plan. Anyway I am thinking with this setup I should be able to run two kids on two separate educational software programs at the same time. Does this sound possible or am I chasing my own fantasy? Is there a computer you would recommend for this? Not that I am thinking I will get one that is perfect, just something close enough that I can modify is good.
